Well what a tough decision we have had to make this week. Entries closed at the beginning of the week for our Instant Product Creation Competition. This competition was open to GOLD members only and is valued at $1200. The winners now have the opportunty to work with me to create a quality audio product which they can use to sell or give away as a method of building a list of customers. You can read all about what they have won here.

The exciting thing about reading all the entries is discovering the incredible wealth of knowledge and experience we have in our members. We made our decision based on originality but also chose topics that our other gold members would either learn a lot from or be inspired by. Our winners will share with other members their experience on the following topics:

  • Selling techniques for women
  • An inspiring story on the road less travelled -helping women and children with disabilities in Africa.
  • Blogging
  • Personal happiness and the “Optimism Quotient”
  • Strategies, techniques and tips on how you can create your place in the world.

The winners are…..

  • Lois Carter Faye
  • Evelyn Tian
  • Kim Beasley
  • Helen Mac
  • Sandi Givens

Congratulations!

Runner Up Prizes

I told you it was hard to chose, so we created a runner’s up prize for people whose ideas were wonderful but we just had to make a choice. The following people have won an hours one-on-one brain storming session with me to help them focus on the next stage in their business:

  • Lily de Rehe
  • Kathie Thomas
  • Jacki Reichelt
  • Belinda Jackson

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to every one who took the time to enter – simply taking that action makes you a winner!

Cheers

Thank you for some great input from Wonderful Web Women members today on our seminar. Today we covered how to make sense of information overload. There are so many ways to make money on-line that it can be difficult to know where to start.

We covered quite a lot and I will be adding this recording and accompanying transcript, big idea cheat sheet and action plan bundle to a section I will adding in the member’s area called “Start Here”. Until then, here a few things we covered:

Before you even think about the methods you can use to make money on-line you need to spend time on the following things:

1. Know your personal goal (this is the lifestyle you picture you are working towards. This is essentiwl as it will help you decide if an opportunity will get you to that goal or not. Gives you the power to say NO). One of our members recommended a passion test. You can see the site she recommended at:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/passiontest

2. List your exisiting skills and ones you need to master.(this is not just internet marketing skills but also other skills you have that you can use. Start a list of skills you will need to learn or outsource as you come across a methos of making money that you like).

3. Know your personal strengths and weaknesses. Don’t even think about working on your weaknesses so that you have those as skills. Instead, learn to manage your weaknesses. Ie, delegate things you know you hate (for me it is book keeping) or concentrate on what you do well and create systems to get you through the things you struggle with.

Then we discussed ways to make money on line. Basically there are 2 ways:

1. Sell other people’s stuff

2. or sell your own stuff

Sell other people’s stuff

Yep, it’s that basic! I recommend you start by recommending people buy other people’s stuff and you get rewarded with a commission. That is, become an affiliate. You don’t need a web site or any fancy software and that first cheque will give you great confidence.

Download the Wonderful Web Women Affiliate Handbook. It has a really good description of the basics, get you started making money – and it’s free.

Sell your own stuff

The next level is to create your own products and sell them. This is more work but can make you a lot more money.

We talked about:

1. ebooks

2. audio (recording conversations & seminars)

3. http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/jen1

4.ebay

5. selling services

We also talked about a few CDs I have created to help you understand:

1. The different ways to make money on-line, how to create an internet dream and not a nightmare

and

2. Step by step videos to set up and master Google Adwords

We also discussed Member to Member offers which you can access in the members area. This is a place for members to find products and services by other members that will save you a lot of money.

I welcome any suggestions you may have to help you make the most of our wonderful community of inspiring women.

Hope this helps you get started. The recordings of the interview and mastermind call will be in the members area in a few hours. Debbie should have the transcript ready by the end of the week.

Have a wonderful day
Janet and The Wonderful Web Women Team

P.S. If you couldn’t make it to the live call, the recording of both the interview and the mastermind call will be available soon and the transcript within the week. This is a bonus for gold members. If you aren’t a gold member yet, just log in, click to download the audio of today’s call and you will be prompted to upgrade your membership. Just follow the steps.
