What a great call with Rosalind Gardner today. Ros is an absolute legend at affiliate marketing. If you’re not sure what affiliate marketing is, it is basically being rewarded for recommending a product to people you know. That’s it in the most basic form.

The skill is in 3 things:

knowing which products to promote
getting enough people to your website to see your recommendations
developing a relationship and trust with the people who do visit your site

I must admit I felt an incredible sense of relief and calm after talking to Ros. Her big message was to keep it simple and build on what women do best – build relationships. She concentrates on 2 methods to get traffic:

Pay Per Click Adwords (Google Adwords, Yahoo and MSN)
Blogging

Of course, there are tricks to this and Ros covers this in detail in her book. I have a few resources to get you started on mastering both of these skills:

1. Pay Per Click

Here is a bit of shameless self promotion. I’m really good at Google Adwords but I don’t really enjoy doing it.
