What a great group of members we have. On our mastermind call today one of our members Ann Oliveri made a very generous offer. Ann is heading off to Costa Rica in a few days for an amazing conference for spiritual entrepreneurs. Ann has been to this conference in the past and credits it with changing her life. The conference will also be streamed live via video link and you need to purchase this for $297 – but one lucky person will receive this free as a gift from Ann. Even better, all of the videos will be archived so you can watch them at your leisure.

Why is Ann doing this?

Let me share Ann’s message with you:

I am so inspired by Judith and yourself being the givers that you are. This has been the best call yet and fits perfectly with my philosophy as a Spiritual Entrepreneur.

 I truly believe:

”It is your willingness to be always contributory in the lives of  others that will bring the greatest abundance into your life. So share who you are with others and they will be attracted to your energy and your willingness to share with them and in turn they will enrich your  own life in immeasurable ways.”

And that’s why I’ve been inspired…by you and Judith today. My life is blessed in so many ways. Tomorrow I fly out to a retreat for Spiritual Entrepreneurs in Costa  Rica and I want to share it with you. There are so many wonderful

speakers there…my friends and mentors all.

To share it I would like to offer a LIVE stream from Costa Rica for one of the members of Wonderful Web Women. I have had a chance to think it through a bit and wonder if this wouldwork…

Could the Wonderful Web Women share on your blog, “How they would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet” (or something like that, inspired by today’s call) and in 24 hours one person who responds will be gifted with a LIVE stream compliments of you and I.

Wonderful Web Women who would like to check it out can go to

www.MagneticSeminars.com

The reason we can only offer for 24 hours is because it starts on Sunday our time (by the way you get all 16 hours in archive so you can view it in your own time).

It is my pleasure to give especially to you Janet

How will you make a difference?

This is such a generous offer and thank you so much to Ann. So go on, share with us “How you would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet”.

Leave your thoughts here on the blog and Ann and I will let you all know tomorrow.

Cheers

Janet

First, I would like to thank Janet for creating such an inspiring site as Wonderful Web Women. I belong to a few other groups but the warmth and sharing in this one motivates and supports me. Ann thank you as well for showing that we each can find a way to give to eachother. Even though there is only one winner, each of us participating wins because we are finally sitting down and putting our thoughts into ideas and then hopefully taking the ideas and turning them into action.

Ok, how would I like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet? A very deep quetion that to answer entirely would take pages, but in a nutshell it is to help people realize the power that resides in each and every one of us. We truly can create whatever it is our hearts desire but we often get so distracted by life that we forget we are divine beings. This holds true for every man, woman and child on the planet. I believe that if we can give people a guiding light when times are dark, we can help them to begin to see all their possibilities.

Though my internet business is based on uplifting individuals and helping them discover their true potential, I also have a goal of what I will do with the benefits I receive from this business. I am a firm believer in microfunding, in other words helping people out of difficult situations by giving them simple tools that can change the course of their lives: a sewing machine, a tractor, a computer. There are a number of wonderful organizations that work in this manner and I look forward to contributing more and more to their cause.

The underlying theme is a classic one: Give a man a fish and he eats for a day teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime. Through the internet I hope to inspire others to learn to fish and then go out and teach others, and then they will teach others and so on. The ripple effect when used for good is truly magic!

  2. How I would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet is simple: I am helping others to better protect their personal information and their business data from identity thieves, malware writers, h-a-ckers, and others who may have less than honorable intentions. For example, one needs to protect the core of one’s online business presence (i.e., web site) from potential “snooping” competitors who are not cooperating to form win/win alliances which benefit both parties. Sometimes, competitors actually may cooperate online by trading related back links, etc.

As a security professional in Information Security (InfoSec), I handle InfoSec for a living at my day job. Therefore, I can share very limited amounts and types of security-related information which are not protected either by classification or by release restrictions. I can transfer some knowledge to help others protect themselves from identity theft in their personal lives, as well as business security.

“Tipsheets” are under development; I will share these with our WWW community as appropriate.
Thank you for asking; it’s a thought-provoking question.

    Regards,
    Cheri Sigmon

    Hi everybody,

I agree with Dawn, it would take pages to outline exactly how I am planning to make a difference to people’s lives through the internet.

Thanks for putting up such a lovely prize and also for getting us to articulate our thoughts. There is nothing like a bit of public accountability to get me moving!

I made a start by writing a chapter for the WWW book for 2008. It has been ready for a few days, the hold up is the photo!!
I chose the topic based on what I thought would make the greatest difference in people’s lives who come in contact with this book – yoga. Most of you will immediately think of turning yourself into a pretzel, headstands and worse. This is all great fun, but is incredibly far removed from the true essence of yoga.

Yoga is a way of life, a lifestyle, and if embraced fully or even only partially, brings peace, harmony, self esteem, focus, non-violence, respect for all forms of life and many more benefits for the individual and then as a result to their family, the community and the planet as a whole.

My passion and goal is to get people to break their cycle of destructive and unhealty behaviour, towards themselves and others. This way the children in their care will have a much better start in life and a better future and won’t repeat the same destructive patterns. Slowly and gradually the world will become a better and more peaceful place.

People have to get to work from within themselves, and first of all develop awareness. Awareness about their body, their thoughts, feelings and their patterns. Then they need to learn the skills how to change for the better and apply these skills. Change is an incredibly hard thing to achieve and sustain for human beings. This is why yoga is such a great tool – change happens via “the backdoor” so to speak, via physical challenges and changes and then the mind follows.

Over the years I have gathered and developed lots of tools that people can use and I have (hopefully) learnt to present them in a caring, encouraging and non-threatening way. Most of all, I do my best motivate people to try out new things and then keep going till they get results. (in the off-line world).

I want to transfer all of this to the online world and to this end I bought a domain name for my yoga website and some hosting (today!) Initially, it will be a blog. I will pack it full of useful, practical and thought provoking content and gradually develop a supportive and vibrant community from there. Once it gathers momentum – who knows where it will lead!

  4. Terri Cooper says:

Hi everyone, After today’s wonderful and inspiring callI would like to share my dream with you.

My vision has always been to make a difference for women of the world, particularly in the third world countries and this dream needs the funds to make it come true, otherwise all I can do is to sympathise and cry from the overwhelming helplessness which I feel.

To create the huge income stream I need to fund this goal, I have created an online mentoring program for real estate sales professionals. This program has been a dream of mine for so many years and within a week it will become a reality.

My focus has been to give especially to women , the means to create a life free of poverty and financial stress and one which gives them self-esteem, self-confidence and most importanty empowers them to make strong passionate choices for their lives.

By the grace of God, I have now met a wonderful business partner for this project, and our goal is to create a huge abundance of money for our clients and for ourselves in order that we can give abundantly to as many as we can of those in need.

We both have a heart for projects which give women hope for the future and empower them to break out of emotional and physical conditions which are threatening their very existence – for example the courageous women of Ethopia struggling to deal with the consequences of the Aids virus and the effects on themselves and their beautiful children.

We know that even small amounts can give women in need resources to be free from poverty, education opportunities and the chance to create a world of hope and opportunity.

We want to use the concept of micro financing to fund many many projects where we can make a difference – build wells for villages, establish safe houses and hospitals, fund local groups to bring kids off the streets – the list is endless – but we need money and an abundance of it to give generously to those with their arms outstretched for help.

With the unbelievable leverage which the internet will bring to our business we know our dream is becoming a reality.

The wonderful women we are meeting on this website like Janet and Judith are helping to make our dream come true and giving us the confidence to take the steps we need.

Thankyou for everything you shared today and for the inspiration you both are to all of us!

  5. Viv says:

Terri, how wonderful your vision is, I so hope your dreams do come true.

What I hope to do is give older people the confidence to use technology to stave off social isolation. With the internet, email, video calls people can now be so connected with others, a person in a nursing home can actually see someone they love who they might not have seen in years; a frail woman who might otherwise just be sitting at home watching TV can actually connect with a person, have a conversation, pay their own bills, do their own shopping; lift their self esteem.

There’s so much to offer. But first they need to overcome their fear of technology, and once they do, they have the time to really explore so much.

How many grandchildren would ever write their grandparents a letter, but they’d certainly reply to an email, or perhaps with a blog and photos or videos they can share so much more of their lives.

When my website is properly developed, I’ll have an online community, so that there’s a nice, safe place to connect with others, to feel comfortable before venturing off into cyber space. I’ll have lots of video tutorials showing people just how to do certain tasks (not just for oldies!) there’ll be lots of support, as I really want people to have interests and actually have conversations with others. Loneliness is awful, and in our modern world there’s a way around it.

Thanks so much Janet for having Judith’s inspiring call today, it was wonderful.

  6. Connie says:

Hi, here is Connie again. I just looked at the posts and they all have so much merit, I personally would find it impossible to choose a “winner”.
While I was washing the dishes this morning I had an idea – maybe the “winner” could be allowed to share the resource with the other entrants so they all can benefit and further their causes? So the “winner” would get it first and then choose who to pass it on to next? Just a thought….

  7. Jenny Ford says:

My passion has always been education, and for the past ten years or so, financial education in particular.
I have worked with seminar companies, publishers, Registered Training Organisations, even launched a printed magazine on the subject. All of these media have limitations of geography, cost, and/or scaleability.
Finally, with the advent of the internet, I have a vehicle which can save every child in the next generation from the scarcity mentality which has caused so much misery on this planet.
In the developed nations, parents will be using the resources of http://www.cash-smart-kids.com to teach their kids to start businesses, to invest, and to give back 10%. The giving back from our site’s profits will go to the type of microfinance organisations mentioned by a couple of others already, and I will make sure our members think about where they direct their giving, too, to maximise abundance.
In addition, we give back 60% of our revenues to the kids in our program, their schools, churches, sporting clubs and scouting groups, and the people who help to spread the word that financial education is not an oddity or a luxury – it’s a necessity!
Our object is not to get the maximum profit our of our members – it is to spread this information as far and wide as possible, as quickly as possible, for the benefit of every person on the planet.

  8. This has been an almost impossible challenge as every entry is so unique and so well thought out. I commend you all for such integrity in the way you have approached growing your business.

Each entry is equally valuable and shows not only good intentions but well thought out plans of how you intend to achieve your goal.

In order to make a decision (Ann has headed off to Costa Rica so our team here is making the difficult choice) I thought I needed to think of a criteria to help me judge.

Unfortunately Ann has only one gift to give so here goes….

I was impressed how many people mentioned micro-financing as this is an area that we have identified as fitting in with the ethos of Wonderful Web Women. We are about facilitating people to create their own changes and micro financing is such a great way of doing this.

So I’ve made a decision based on which of these wonderful entries has the potential to make the greatest amount of change to as many lives as possible in the most sustainable way.

So, Jenny Ford, stand up and take a bow! I was impressed with the 3 pronged approach you have taken to make sure you can be a catalyst for change in as many areas as you possibly can.

    1. Firstly working with children and their parents to give them the skills to be a creator of abundance rather than just consumers.
    2. Secondly with the investment in micro financing to reach the families who can not benefiit from her program yet.
    3. Thirdly by the generous way she gives such a sizeable share of the profits to the community organisations that support the children who learn from her.

Congratulations Jenny, you are an inspiration to us all. I’ll email you off the details for your “virtual” trip to Costa Rica.

I feel honoured to be associated with such a inspiring group of women. You truly are Wonderful Web Women. As a way of thanking all of your valuable entries I have a gift for you all as well.

I would like to send you a checklist that I use in my own business that I use with every sales letter I write. I have developed it as a summary of all the lessons I have read on what has proven to work when writing sales letters so I can be sure I have covered everything.

This is my gift to you to help you achieve your goals faster. Keep an eye on your in-box and email me if you haven’t heard from me (I’m about to get on a plane for melbourne for yet another workshop and won’t be back for a few days).
    Cheers
    Janet

  9. Jenny says:

Thank you so much for your kind words, Janet.

Before I register for this offer, I’d like to see if I can create a bit more abundance and win/win for the whole group.

Is there anyone who would be willing to take my place on the live feed, type a transcript (at whatever level of detail is fair and reasonable without infringing copyright), and give me the transcript?

That way, at least two people will benefit from the information immediately.

We can possibly work out a way to put something up on this site for everyone to benefit, even if it has to be limited to summaries and cheat sheets. I can edit the transcripts into whatever form Janet thinks is appropriate.

    Anyone good at typing fast?

  10. Connie says:

Hi Jenny, this sounds like a great idea.
Do you know what the exact dates and times are for the live feed? I am in Australia and I am busy during the day.If the feed is mainly during the night (our time here) I might be able to do something – but it still seems a bit daunting to to sit and type at breakneck speed for 2 or 3 days…..I am not sure whether I would be up to taking on the whole job. Let’s see whether anybody else comes forward.
Maybe a couple of www members living in close proximity could share the task (i.e. use the one computer and feed but give each other “time out”). And, no I don’t have anybody to share with…unless there is sombody out there in Sydney who I don’t know about….

  11. Hi everyone
Wonderful how everyone is thinking of ways to help each other. We have to keep in mind that this is access to a paid product and we need to respect the rights of the creators of the product.

Here is a suggestion. Jenny, the thing I really like about this product is that you also have access to the archived videos which means you can view them at your leisure.

I really liked the idea of creating summaries and cheat sheets as this is often more helpful to people and also reinforces your own learning. It also adds your own touch as you bring your own interpretation to what you have learnt.

There is a way you can do this (or you and another friend from here) and also increase traffic to your site. I suggest you create summaries of the main points as you and / or your friend view each video or live stream. Then post these to your blog or submit them as an article to Wonderful Web Women. That way you get traffic to your site, you get to share what you have learnt with other Wonderful Web Women and you reinforce what you have learnt. And if you can’t view each of the videos, the friend who is helping you can share with you what they have learnt.

This way you don’t have to worry about breaching copyright as you are publishing your interpretation of what you have learnt.

Ann has raved about this course when she did it in the past and I know she is buzzing about being there this time. I expect it will be excellent.

    Cheers
    Janet

  12. Hi Ladies

Well I’ve arrived in Costa Rica and guess what it’s raining in the Rainforest.

Bob Dignard-Fung and I spent the day discussing the benefits our new software will bring to you. Believe me this contribution is going to be huge.

I have also met Steve D’Annunzio, Bill Rodgers and Fred Johnson who are presenting on Sunday and Monday (Austalian morning time – check http://www.MagneticSeminars.com for program details then http://www.timeanddate.com for time at your location.

I am very much looking forward to sharing what I learn with you.

Thank you all so much for your inspiring posts, what an incredible group of women I am honoured to read your thoughts and feel your inspiration reaching me all the way to Costa Rica.

Congratulations to Jenny I appreciate what you do.

    More soon
    Annie

  13. Connie says:

Hi Jenny, this morning I forgot to congratulate you on your win. It is really great that you will get a chance to hear what happens at that conference and be able to put it to good use.

I will have a look at your site when I can to see what I can do for my child to teach him the basics of business and get him to work on a business of his own.

As the my day here progressed more commitments came up for the weekend, so I cannot take on the typing or even part of it.

  14. Hola from Costa Rica

Today we are at a beautiful beach on the Pacific Coast relaxing and taking in all that we learnt. I´m here with a couple of lovely ladies from The Netherlands. We have formed a team to share information and resources from the Magnetic Retreat with women from around the world. It was truely a transformational experience. More in a week. Bonas Dias Annie

  15. Dawn says:

Annie we look forward to hearing what you have learned during your wonderful training. It would be extremely helpful and appreciated if you could possibly create a brief summary of your experience in the same vein as what Janet does for her calls. Would that be possible? Enjoy the rest of your time in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica. Sitting here in rainy, grey Paris makes me long for those beautiful beaches you speak of all the more.

Congratulations Jenny for your win. You have a superb concept and I wish you the very best in realizing your goals. By the way, excellent marketing move in using the contest to promote your business: Raising Entrepreneurs | http://www.cash-smart-kids.com voted “Website Most Likely To Change The World”. I love that kind of insight into how to move your business forward!

  16. Anne
It does not surprise me at all that you would attract a group of supportive women while in Costa Rica. You certainly act as a very calm catalyst for action wherever you go. I’m really looking forward to hearing your story on your return. So many members are keen to hear your story we may have to turn your adventure into an interview!
    Cheers
    Janet
