Business Clarity - Understanding The Needs Of Both You And Your Customers
Filed under: Business Skills, Featured Speakers, Internet Basics, Law of Attraction, Personal Development, Where to Start
Today I had the pleasure of Interviewing Beth Davis, The Hand Analyst. Beth has a unique approach to getting clarity on your life purpose and also your business and marketing message. I’d like to share just a few of the incredible skills she shared with us today on getting clarity in your business and then also how to get clarity on your customers’ needs.
Clarity On Your Needs And Your Life Purpose
Beth discovered Hand Analysis when she had tried without success many techniques to get clarity on her passions and life purpose. The changes in her life were so dramatic she devoted herself to learning and mastering the techniques until the results were reliable and predictable. She now teaches others to do the same. You can see her offer here (the price increases $150 very soon). She has also included an unadvertised course on understanding your relationship with money.
Beth’s advice on clarity for yourself:
1. Get a hand analysis. It doesn’t have to be from her, just get one! (Beth has made a limited time offer of $495 for her intensive hand analysis and phone consultation. She normally charges $1495 and has between 50 and 80 hand prints on the way to her from around the world at one time. This offer is only valid to 12MN Central time USA on Friday. Just send an email mentioning us).
2. Passion. This is essential for success. Beth’s specialty is helping you discover your passion.
3. Day Dream. Give yourself permission to day dream. This is essential to visualising your goals
4. Be patient. Many people give up on their dreams before they eventuate. Keep faith in your dreams
5. Think big. Most people shrink their dreams to fit their income. It must be the other way around!
6. Ask yourself and the universe “What will I do in exchange for money to achieve my dreams and live my purpose?”
Clarity On Your Customer’s Needs
It is essential you are clear on your own purpose before you grow your business. Don’t assume you know what your customers want and are willing to pay. Here is a fool proof way to get clarity on your client’s needs. Beth does this every 3 months.
Ask.
I know, it sounds obvious but what do you ask them?
It is important to not be too limiting in your questions as you will lose the gems. Here are Beth’s suggested questions:
- What is your greatest pain you would do anything to solve? (You can clarify this, such as what is your greatest problem with your niche, such as finances, pets etc)
- How would your life be different if you solved this problem?
If you only have a few people, send an email or just ask them in person
If you have more than a handful, use a service such as Survey Monkey. (I’ve used this. It is great and free for less than 100 responses. I also use Ask. You can get a $1 trial here and see the step by step videos in the gold members area on how to use it)
The information you get simply by asking these specific questions is incredibly powerful and will be the basis for your business. If you solve people’s pain, you have guaranteed success.
Tip Of The Iceberg
This is just a small fraction of what Beth covered. The info Beth shared on how to convert prospects to high paying clients and how to use internet marketing to build your business was very specific and powerful. Make sure you log in and listen to her interview.
Your Marketing Message - It’s All In Your Hands

Today I interviewd Beth Davis “The Hand Analyst”. I must admit, before I interviewed Beth I was a bit of a cynic. The idea of combining hand analysis with business growth seemed a bit far fetched but I was fascinated by Beth’s story and really wanted to learn about her unique approach.
Wow, what an interview! Beth recently won the Glazer - Kennedy Information Marketer Of The Year and I can see why. Beth not only shared with us her very personal journey and the changes to her life after she discovered the science behind hand analysis. She also shared incredibly clear and sophisticated marketing advice that has resulted in her wonderful success as a business coach.
Here are just a few of the comments that listeners sent through the webcast page:
Charly- WoW!!!! This is GOLD. Amazing stuff. How to create Rarity.

Build Your List With The Wonderful Web Giveaway Project
Filed under: Collaborative Projects, Give Away Events, How To Get Traffic, List Building, Members Opportunities, Where to Start, events
Today we launched (well pre-launched really) the very first Wonderful Web Give away project. A few weeks ago I survey all of the members of Wonderful Web Women to ask you what you biggest frustrations are and how we can help you create success on the Internet. One of the biggest frustrations people face is starting a mailing list and getting traffic to your site.
So we’re doing something about it. I invite you to join us as a contributor to this project so we can help you grow your mailing list. But we are doing more than simply inviting you. We have also set up ways to help you join us. So if you have no list, no product and no idea, we can help you. Read on to get all the details. I’ve put everything in point form to make it easy for you to get the facts without reading too much
What is a Give away event?
- Dozens, or even hundreds of people contribute a product as a gift to a give-away project site. In order for people to receive each gift, they need to subscribe to the contributor’s mailing list. Each contributor sends traffic to the site so every contributor benefits from the mailing list of each other contributor (also known as Joint Venture Partner or JV Partner).
- You can see a flow chart I have created that tells you how the process works, what you need to do to take part and how you build your list. Let me know what you think of it. I love flow charts.
- Launch Date: June 19th 2008, Sydney time
- Date you need to have your contribution in: June 10th, Sydney time
- How long you have to prepare: About 6 or 7 weeks
- Web site url: www.WonderfulWebGiveaway2008.com (The web site is not live yet)
- Who can join?: Free and Gold members of Wonderful Web Women, male and female
- Who else can join?: we will also invite other JV partners when the site goes live in a couple of weeks. The more JV partners the bigger your list will be.
- What is the theme?: Tools to help you create success in all parts of your life (business, personal, health, finances, family etc)
- Must your gifts be your own work?: Please don’t submit products that are available everywhere. You are not doing yourself a favour. You can create your own product or edit and adapt a product you have “private label rights to”. This means you have permission to change the original product and put your own name on it. If you do gift a product that you just resell rights to, please make sure it is not everywhere on the net. You will not get many people joining your list.
- Can you use the “Law of Attraction in Action” publication as your gift?: Not for this giveaway (we would have too many). This is a great book to use in other giveaways though)
- Stephanie Mulac, veteran of many giveaway projects is acting as our consultant on this project (thanks Stephanie, we love you).
- You can purchase her excellent product which has every thing you need to take part in a give-away project if you have no list, no product and no idea! It is very reasonably priced.
- All gold members and also purchasers of Stephanie’s product, are invited to an open question and answer session in about 2 weeks (date to be confirmed). This is a special gift from Stephanie to our members (thanks again Stephanie).
- I will hold another open question and answer session before the project is launched for gold members to help you get your product and offer ready.
- Wonderful Web Forum. Visit the forum to brainstorm ideas with other members, get help and advice and the latest updates. I visit the forum often to answer questions. This is where the action will be.
- Join a peer mastermind group: All gold members (yes, even $1 trial members) are invited to join a peer mastermind group. We help you find members, set you up with your own communication hub, facilitate your first meeting and help you keep going. You can find out more here. You can register your interest in the forum or just contact us through the help desk on the Wonderful Web Women site. You can join a group to help each other create your products and join the project.
http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/giveaway2008 and let everyone know you are joining us. Share ideas, look for help and ask questions. Most importantly, this will be FUN!
Cheers

Steps To Grow A List By Contributing To A Give-Away Event
Filed under: Collaborative Projects, Give Away Events, How To Get Traffic, List Building, Members Opportunities, Where to Start, events
Give away events are one of the fastest ways to grow a list when you are first starting out. In fact it is a great way to grow your list even if you have a great list already. It can be a bit confusing to know how the whole process works so i have created a flow chart for you. You can see that it is colour coded to help you see at a glance what things the event organiser will do, what web pages you need to create and what email steps you need to set up. You can also see links to resources to help you set this up quickly, even if you have no product, no web site and no idea!
Good luck
Janet

Why generosity is good business practice
Filed under: About WWW, Business Skills, List Building, Where to Start
Recently we have initiated 2 very generous gifts. Firstly we are gifting every one of our existing gold members and our new gold members, a Quick Start List Building pack, delivered to your door. This will cost us thousands of dollars just to produce and deliver (not to mention the value of the product and the intellectual property).
We are also offering all new gold members the opportunity to take GOLD membership for a test run for just $1 for the first month - and we still send you our gift in the post. You may be wondering why we are doing this. I’d like to share with you the business reasoning behind our generosity in this artilce.I believe in being very transparent about how we run our business. For 2 reasons:
- the first reason is that you are not a fool. There is so much hype around where people say things like “this is my gift to you because I am so wonderful and this is a sacrifice I am making just for you”. Sure, generosity is an important part of business (and it is the key-stone of our business model) but it must always be backed with sound business principles. I would much rather be open about how generosity is good business practice and hopefully inspire others to risk generosity.
- the second reason is I really hope to help you grow a profitable business. That is what Wonderful Web Women is all about. Like you (I hope anyway), we trial an initiative then analyse it to see if it works. Some things work and others don’t but if you don’t measure things you will never know. I hope you can learn from my mistakes and successes (hopefully more successes).
Generosity is such a powerful concept in business yet you must always remember you are in business. There is no use being generous if your generosity makes you broke. You’re not helping anyway if you are not around to continue to provide a service. That is why we have a rationale behind every generous act we do in business (apart from it gives us incredible satisfaction).
So, what are our business rationales for our 2 most recent generous acts?
Why spend thousands of dollars gifting a physical product?
The gift we send all our gold members is incredibly valuable. If used, it will actually help you build a list and start making money quickly. We want to help you to make money quickly so you can afford to stay a gold member of Wonderful Web Women. And, if you make the most of the resources we send you to be an affiliate of Wonderful Web Women, you will refer even more customers our way. So see, by helping you succeed, you help us to succeed. It’s a win-win.
The only reason this will not work in our business model is if you take no action. That’s always a risk and that is why we will analyse the cost of this campaign against our income, and decide if it worked or not. So, we’re taking a risk on you taking action. Why give access to thousands of dollars of product for just $1 Again this is a big risk. New gold members only have to pay $1 and we send out a gift that costs us a lot of money. So we are making a loss in that first month. So why do it? We intend to knock the socks off our new gold members so they see how valuable gold membership is. If they can only sample how good we are, they will never want to leave. The first risk is that people won’t just sign up and cancel a day later, just so they can get their gift (believe it or not people have done this and left thousands of dollars of downloadable MP3s and transcripts untouched). The second risk is that we aren’t good enough and people won’t stay. Why membership sites are such an ethical way to do business. Have you heard the hype about membership sites? You know, the one where you do all the work at the beginnning and then get paid every month and do no more work? What rubbish. Sure, most of the work is at the beginning but a good membership site, one that is truly a community, means that you always have to give great value. I really like this as a business model because if you have high integrity, and give excellent value and customer service, you will rewarded highly with loyal customers. If your standards slip, you will quickly see that you are doing something wrong because your members will unsubscribe. It keeps you honest and in my books, if you don’t intend to give exceptional service, why are you in business anyway? I’m really interested in your reaction to this honesty. In our business we have 2 guiding motivations: 1. Help people achieve their dreams and be financially independent 2. Achieve our own dreams and be financially independent I see the best way to do this is to be incredibly generous, based on sound business principles. What do you think? Cheers Janet
Which brings me to my next point………
