3 Reasons People Use The Internet

This week I interviewed Michele Pariza Wacek, who shared 3 reasons why people use the Internet. You MUST cover at least 3 to be successful:

1. Content - people search the Internet for information. From what movie is on, to how do I get my child to sleep at night, to how do I make money on-line. The topics are endless. It is essential you create great content.

2. Connection - people need a sense of community and connection. People may look for a date, look for a vendor, a client or keep up with friends. It is essential you have a way for people to connect with you and with other people who visit your site. This is why blogs, forums and social networking sites are great marketing strategies.

3. Entertainment – this is not essential, but if you can entertain people while also connecting and providing content, you will be a great success. This doesn’t mean you have to be funny. Just be yourself and make people think differently. I like Michele’s idea. “Even the most boring person in the world is interesting to someone”.
