Call me strange but while everyone around me seems to be giving up and seeing their economic future dictated by external forces, I’m feeling quite excited. I see our economy as a bit like many of the middle aged men I cared for when I was a nurse. Men in their 50′s (what should be the prime of their life) who got lazy. Too much beer, too much food and not enough exercise who came into hospital with a heart attack.
It served as a wake-up call. The smart ones looked at their lifestyle, made long-needed changes and came out fit, healthy with a new zest for life. As a community world-wide, we’ve been gorgeing on easy credit and got lazy. Now we’re suffering chest pains. I know that the people who take action, invest in their education and personal development, and implement simple strategies that are cheap and effective will stand out as lean, mean and shiny examples of good business. I’m up for the challenge. How about you?
