Great questions. One of the first audios in the program takes you through a decision process re how you want to use the program. Ie, do you want to do live interviews or pre-recorded? Do you want to do interviews at all to start with or do you want to focus on you being the expert? Do you want to set up a membership program or do you want to create physical products you sell?
So let me give you some scenarios.
But first: Given the choice between focusing on income first or list building first I recommend you focus on LIST BUILDING first. The reason for this is you will end up reaching your goals much faster once you have a list of people interested in your niche who you can then ask what their biggest problems are. As a business, you simply look for solutions to those problems.
So a better question is, how long until I have a list?
That is why a big part of this program is devoted to the fastest and cheapest way I know how to build a RESPONSIVE list. Quality is more important than quantity as building a list with experts as your JVs builds a very responsive list.
To give you an example in money terms. The given wisdom is you can expect to make $1 per month per subscriber on your list. So for a list of 2000 people you can expect to make $2000 per month which is $24,000 per year.
In the first 12 months of wwwomen, I averaged $5 per month per subscriber and that was without the higher priced “backend” products I now have which means the average value of each subscriber (per month) is now higher. Note, this is not $5 per customer, but $5 per lead as only a % of your leads become customers. So of course, individual buyers spend much more than that but averaged over all my leads on my list, that is the average value of a new subscriber on my list.
The reason for this is, well I treat my subscribers well, but primarily because my list is built from highly targeted people who are really interested in my topic.
I know this is a long ramble before I tell you of some of the costs and timing, but it is an incredibly important concept to accept. The list comes first and you are after quality more than quantity.
Ok, so now onto costs and timing.
Timing depends on your own time commitments. I set up wwwomen from concept to opening in 8 weeks. But I had to learn what to do first. You could do it in 6 weeks I think.
You could create products to sell to an existing list in just a few days.
You asked about the cost of production of CDs.
In the course I show you (including how to videos, checkists etc) where you can custom make a CD or DVD which has your new product on it, print the labels, cover, burn it, shrink wrap and professionally package for less than $2 USD. And there is NO minimum order so you don’t end up with 500 CDs in your shed. It is then dispatched in the US for under $5 postage and to Australia for less than $10.
It is cheaper for me to use this service to send CDs to Australia than it is for me to have them made locally and for me to go to the post office. We use this service ourselves.
This is one eg of costs. I usually work out that the cost of production for a physical product is about 10%. So that means 90% profit.
Other expenses depend on the model you choose. You will need a website (unless you only decide to sell physical product from an existing business). This can vary from a few hundred dollars to thousands, depending on what you decide to set up.

I’d like to say something to anyone out there who is on the fence about moving forward and making their vision become a reality-and I”m putting this here because there is no one to speak to out here on this late Sunday night except for the cows (and they are getting tired of listening to me).
I have been hopeful, determined, focused; visionary, entrepreneur, advocate. And I still am in the same place regarding my vision (almost) that I was a year ago. I’ve spent ages reviewing styles, techniques, fast sells; promises to fame and success. When I was fortunate enough to stumble across Janet and Wonderful Web Women I felt an immediate connection-everything resonated and I was certain that I’d found the fuel that would push me forward from my ‘stuck’ place. But I am also uncertain, a bit fearful, and when I forget to put my shoulders back and straighten my spine, totally lacking in confidence. Looking back I know so much has changed for me since I joined this incredible community.
I once told Janet (in an exercise that she probably does not remember), that I would spend every last cent in an effort to make my entrepreneurial vision come true and to not re-enter the conventional workforce. Maybe this is just my way of trying to justify my decision, but I’m not so sure. It felt too exciting when I finally clicked on the Pay Now button.

I receive dozens on e-mails every day mostly from men who talk about making a million dollars a year and more and if you read their stories they are exactly the same. Pictures all the same, which makes me think it is all a bunch of bull____.
I am very creative and when I get an idea in my head I just go for it. For example I was living in Seattle and decided to public a magaizine for women business owners in Washington. I didn’t know how to even turn on a computer. I took lessons every evening after dinner to learn pagemaker. Six months later I had a magazine on the streets of Seattle. I ran it for 5 years. I am now living in Az and am in the Real Estate industry, but know I need to start looking for something that will give me a residual income, as I am now in my mid 60′s. Do you think I could use my publishing background to start a magazine that would promote women in business. Like writing a article about the woman and promoting their services or business. I like having a theme so the publication features different industries. I would also like to find products to promote and sell. I have a list of about 3,000 people who are looking for money making opportunities. I have been hearing about affiliate programs from these guys e-mails but they are promoting large companies, could the publication work as an affiliate . Just a thought as I am thinking about stuff I could do.
