<p>We are looking for a person to create articles, blog posts, e-books and follow up auto-responders for our own projects and those of our clients. Usually you will be asked to re-purpose existing content (for example take a transcript of an interview and create multiple content types from it) so there is rarely the need for research on the topic.</p>
<p>We&#8217;re looking for someone with experience and who has a business that can grow if we send you referrals. If you give great service and value to us then we will refer you to our clients. We need to know you are serious about ghost writing as your business because we need to know you can cope with any referrals we send you and still provide great service and meet deadlines for us and them (you may be able to tell here that in the past we have referred so many people to suppliers they stopped meeting our own deadlines!).</p>
<p>So please, if you like the idea of writing but it is something on the side, rather than your passion, please don&#8217;t apply.</p>
<h1>General Requirements:<span id="more-793"></span></h1>
<ul>
<li>Reliably meet deadlines</li>
<li>Provide value for money</li>
<li>Charge and accept payment in Australian dollars so we can predictably budget.</li>
<li>Write in a similar style to me which is pretty informal &amp; friendly with  a sense of humour (you can see examples here on my blog)</li>
<li>Write without hype. I like to keep it pretty real.</li>
<li>Use your initiative, ie if you have ideas on how to improve what we do, using your services, we want to hear it.</li>

<p>That&#8217;s ok. Do the best you can and our volunteer editors will give you feedback if your work needs improving. Last year, many people wrote their first article / chapter ever and the quality was excellent. They had doubts before they started too.</p>
<p><em><strong>Once I am a contributor does my name end up on the front page of Wonderful Web Women or is this another process? </strong></em></p>
<p>No. Only our guest speakers are listed on the home page of Wonderful Web Women. You will be listed on the speaker feature page of Wonderful Law of Attraction.</p>
<p><em><strong>Can you put YouTube links into book? </strong></em></p>
<p>Sure. A suggestion is to take a screen grab of the video and then put this image in the book. We can then put the link to the video below the image.</p>
<p><em><strong>What format do you need the chapter submission ?</strong></em></p>

<p><em><strong>What types of businesses would this be viable for </strong></em></p>
<p>The topic has been chosen because you can twist it around to suit any business niche. You can talk about how to attract security when you are driving by including actions you can take to maintain your car. As long as the emphasis is on action and being the best you can be.</p>
<p><em><strong>Contributing to the book will give me credibility but how else can it grow my business?</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>You will can put a link to your web site at the end of your article so readers will visit your web site</li>
<li>You can make a special offer to readers of your chapter that will entice them to come to your website and join your mailing list. A perfect enticement it a free ebook, audio or autoresponder course. Something they need to sign up to get. Then you can build on the relationship through your newsletter. Some people even offer discounts on services or free sessions if you don&#8217;t have a product.</li>

<p><em><strong>Do I need to have a gift to giveaway to contribute?</strong></em></p>

<li>No you don&#8217;t but I encourage you to as it will help you make the most of this opportunity</li>

We have made it that all gifts will be listed on one page of a new website we will create especially for this book. It will be something like www.wonderfullawofattraction.com/gifts . We can add your gifts in January (or even later if you need to) so this takes the pressure off you.</li>

<p><strong>Will the names/emails that are collected from those who want to download the ebook, and the names collected from the gift downloads be shared with the all of contributors? Will WWW have the entire list, and will this be shared?</strong></p>
<p>There are 3 sets of people who can benefit from the distribution of this book throughout the Internet. Below is the way each party has the opportunity to grow their mailing list.</p>

<li><strong>All free and gold members of Wonderful Web Women:</strong> Everyone has the right to give the book away. You can give it as a gift to your existing customers or give it away on your web site in return for an email. They join through your email program. The page they are sent to after they join your list is on our special book site. They do not need to join our mailing list to download the book. This makes it easy for you because you don&#8217;t need to worry about how much hosting space is taken up when people download the book.</li>

Google is the most popular search engine people use when they are looking for information (or products) on the Internet. If you can get on the first page of Google, you are pretty well guarantted to be high on the other search engines as well.</p>
<p>If you can be in the first 10 listings (out of often millions) for term people are searching for, then you are much more likely to get people clicking on the link to your site that is listed in Google. That means heaps of potential customers to your site &#8211; for free.</p>
<p>Cheryline Lawson has <a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank">perfected a method to get your site listed on the first page of Google </a>very fast, and multiple times. She uses techniques that many marketers are using separately and found the perfect way to combine them to really leverage the results. It&#8217;s the classic &#8211; &#8220;the sum of the parts is greater than the whole&#8221;, or however that saying goes <img src='http://wonderfulwebwomen.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Here are the main components and over the next few days I&#8217;ll share details on each. Cheryline goes into heaps of detail in <a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank">her book which is incredibly good value. </a></p>
<p><strong>Press Releases</strong></p>
<p>Press releases are written differently to articles. They should be used to promote something new. It may be the launch of a product, launch of your blog, an event that is happening online or offline or a comment on something topical. Cheryline shared details on how many words to include, how to use keywords and where to submit your release. I&#8217;ll share details this week and Gold members can download the recording in a few hours as well.</p>
<p><strong>Social Bookmarking</strong></p>
<p>If you have a look at this blog you will see there is a line of images called social bookmarks at the bottom of each post. These are web sites that people sign up for and list topics they would like to receive the most recent info on. You can submit your new press release to these book marking sites so people who want info on your topic will be notified. Even better, Google loves these sites as they rank highly (greater than 5 out of 10) for Google Page Rank. A site with a page rank of 10 gets the most visitors, a site with a page rank of 0, hardly gets noticed.</p>
<p><strong>Blogs</strong></p>
<p>Google loves blogs. You don&#8217;t paste your press release to your blog. You use different content and write short articles on specific topics in your niche. Cheryline finds writing reviews of products you are promoting as an affiliate works better than a general article. Creating blogs is also a great way to test the popularity of topics as you canbcreate ablog on each topic and measure the success without committing to a whole website and intensive blog.</p>
<p><strong>RSS aggregators</strong></p>
<p>An RSS feed basically means that the content you have written on your blog gets sent out to the search engnes immediately, and in a no-frills package which they love. Aggregators basically collect RSS feeds on specific topics and make it easy for people (and search engines) to get the info quickly. You can submit your blog to heaps of different aggregators just once, and then they will  be updated everytime you update your blog. An example is Feedburner . <a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank">Cheryline has included a long lists of the best aggregators which</a> you can gradually submit your blog details to.</p>
<p>The main basis of this model is to write content (as Press releases or articles) and then subit them to web sites that have a very high page rank. This means you will have high ranking sites linking back to you. These sites are the press release directories, the social book marking sites and the RSS aggregators. Simple but powerful when they are all combined.</p>
<p>Well, I say simple, but the important part to master is how to write the content in a way that search engines like and whwre and how to submity this content to the highest ranking sites so you can get links back to you. This is where Cheryline&#8217;s book comes into. She has done an incredible amount of research and documented it all. I&#8217;d hate to think how long it would take me to trial and test all this myself.<a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank"> Much faster to follow her steps in her book and get the results </a>without the hard slog of researching. Cheryline shared with us the method she has tested and perfected to get web sites ranked on the first page of Google in a matter of hours. But not just one place. She has shown how to get your site listed on the first page multiple times and how to stay there.</p>
<p>We covered a lot of advanced stuff so I will give an overview of her method today and over the rest of the week I will share with you more details on each step here on the blog. Actually spreading your blog content over many days, instead of all at once is one of the techniques Cheryline shares.</p>
<p>Cheryline&#8217;s book and her generous bonuses are excellent value <a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank">and I do recommend you get them</a>. Cheryline is very much a detail person and her book takes you step by step through the techniques she uses, with an incredible amount of links to the sites she recommends and detailed proof on how it works.  I have read through the book and am so impressed with the level of detail.</p>
<p>I suggest <a href="http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/cheryline1" target="_blank">when you get it</a>, you print it out, use a high-lighter and write yourself a to-do list as you go. Then break that to-do list up into bite size pieces because as Cheryline stressed, you don&#8217;t have to do it all at once. Work through the steps gradually and each step will get you results.</p>

<p>4 Steps To Get Paid To Write Online</p>
<p>1. Know your goals</p>
<p>Debbie has gifted us her first e-class which helps you determine if you can work from home, what you will need and what type of business you are looking to create. You will need to approach this differently if you want to write for a few hundred dollars per month, or a few thousand dollars.</p>

<p>2. Establish an Online Reputation</p>
<p>The nice thing about Debbie&#8217;s approach is you don&#8217;t need to have past clients to build a portfolio. Debbie recommends writing short articles on any topic you like and posting these to free article directories such as http://www.ezinearticles.com , http://www.isnare.com and http://www.goarticles.com .</p>
<p>At the end of each article there is a place for you to put your biography and links to your web page or blog (you need to get one of these). On your site have your contact details and further examples of your work.</p>
<p>3. Find Work</p>
<p>Debbie makes this easy too. In the gift Debbie has given us is a list of web sites you can go to that advertise writing jobs. You can apply here for these contracts. Deb had an important point to make. In her experience it is not the most experienced person who gets the job. It is the person with the best presentation. In Debbie&#8217;s Gold membership, she includes quite a few classes on how to present on-line to win.</p>
<p>You can also find work through bidding sites such as www.elance.com and www.rentacoder.com . This is where Debbie started but be warned. You will need to bid lower than you like to win jobs on these sites but it is a great way to start and get a quality feedback rating on these sites.</p>
<p>4. Find repeat business</p>
<p>Debbie recommended 2 industries which are &#8220;gold mines&#8221; for online writers. Internet Marketers and bloggers. Internet Marketers are great, especially if they are in the business of creating and selling e-books. You can expect to make between $200 and $3000 for an ebook, depending on the length, detail and amount of research needed. Internet Marketers know each other and refer.<br />
Bloggers will need to have lots and lots of short articles written and it can be on some varied and interesting topics. You can find them by visiting blogs and forums that provide resources to help bloggers learn more about blogging.</p>
<p>Debbie recommends offering good clients in these industries a special price they can offer their customers. This makes them look good and also sends you new clients.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Over the last few weeks we have heard from a few speakers about different ways to use social networking to grow your business on the Internet. Today, Michele Pariza Wacek showed us how to tie it all together into a Web 2.0 strategy.</p>
<p>Over the next week I will be sharing with you a few of the concepts Michele introduced. Today I&#8217;d like to share with you a concept that is close to my heart &#8211; &#8220;Leverage&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>Michele&#8217;s 7 step recipe for Web 2.0 traffic</strong></p>
<p><strong><em>Raw Ingredients:</em></strong> </p>
<p>Prepare beforehand: 1 great quality article, 500 words in length that gives great content on your topic</p>
<p><strong><em>Step 1: Include your article in your email newsletter / ezine.</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Send your newsletter at least once per month. Michele recommends once per week</li>
<li>This develops a relationship with people on your list</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 2: Post the article to your blog</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Your blog is central to your Web 2.0 strategy.</li>
<li>Blogs are favoured by educated, affluent people (ie, good paying customers)</li>
<li>Use WordPress software on your own domain (free with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.wonderfulwebhosting.com">Wonderful Web Hosting). </a>Michele also has a hosting and blog facility for $100 / yr. Her contact details are below)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 3: Add your blog to your social networking sites</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You can actually  import your blog into Facebook in the notes section of your profile</li>
<li>Facebook gets more traffic than Google and the average age is 39 (not all teenagers)</li>
<li>I have just added this to my Facebook account. <a target="_blank" href="http://profile.to/janetbeckers/">Be my friend?</a> I&#8217;ll show you later this week on this blog how I did this.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 4: Cut your article into bite size pieces</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use these tasty morsels to answer questions in blog posts and forums</li>
<li>Post these answers on other people&#8217;s blogs as comments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 5: Record yourself reading your article</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>simply record yourself reading your article (use an MP3 recorder or record straight onto your computer)</li>
<li>Add the audio to your BLOG using a wordpress plug in for podcasts (search Google for wordpress plugins)</li>
<li>You can then take the podcast &#8220;feed&#8221; information that is given to you through this podcast plug in, and submit it to podcast directories such as itunes (search Google for podcast directories) </li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 6: Create a press release</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Use the 500 words you have written and create a press release</li>
<li>submit this to press release directories on the Internet</li>
<li>This will get you traffic but importantly will get you noticed in the mainstream media</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Step 7: Submit your article to article directories / portals</em></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Spread the love. Your original 500 word article can now be submitted to websites that let people use your article on their own websites (with links back to your site of course)</li>
</ul>
<p>As you can see, this is the recipe, but like any good cook there are gourmet techniques you need to master to create a true Web 2.0 degustation (how far can I carry this analogy?). Debbie has written literally thousands of articles, ebooks, reports, blog posts and assorted other writing projects. <p><strong>How To Get The Best Quality E-book Written By An Expert Ghost Writer</strong></p>
<p>Here are the main steps to follow when working with a ghost writer. The main point that carried through Debbie&#8217;s call today was the importance of clear and honest communication. As long as you are working with a professional, the quality of your finished book depends very much on the quality of your communication. These tips will help</p>
<p><em><strong>1. Be clear on your target market</strong></em></p>
<p>It is not enough to say &#8220;poker players&#8221;. The writer needs more information to be able to pitch the book at the right level. A better example is &#8220;Poker players who have played at casinos for years&#8221;</p>
<p><strong><em>2. Give a clear outline</em></strong></p>
<p>The more detail you can give the better. Debbie talked about how much info is needed to write a book but the clearer you can be, with a table of contents and clear outline, the closer your book will be to what you are looking for.</p>
<p><strong><em>3. Research</em></strong></p>
<p> Be clear on how much research the writer will need to do. Usually the writer will research the book for you. Debbie gave a good tip about how to be sure that the information the writer provides is accurate. Amongst other things &#8211; insist the writer give you a list of all the sources they used for information so you can check.</p>
<p><strong><em>4. Be clear on the size of the finished product</em></strong></p>
<p>Some of our listeners shared stories of contracting writers for a certain number of pages and then finding that half of the pages were contents lists, headings and titles. Debbie suggested contracting on word count rather than page count. She also went into quite some detail on the number of words needed for articles, blog posts, ebooks and reports. Too much detail to include here but take the time to check out the interview recording as well as the mastermind recording as Debbie stayed behind for ages to answer detailed questions.</p>
<p><strong><em>5. Work to Milestones</em></strong></p>
<p>Nothing could be worse than receiving the finished book and it is completely different to what you wanted. Insist on the first chapter to be delivered so you can make sure you are both thinking along the same lines. It is better to rewrite this first chapter a few times rather than have to rewrite the whole book.</p>
<p><strong><em>6. Capture your voice</em></strong></p>
<p>Let the ghost writer know if you want the tone of the book to be formal, casual etc. If you have something else you have already written, send a copy to the ghost writer so they can write in your voice.</p>

<p>As you can imagine, with a 60 minute interview and then almost another 60 minutes of questions and answers this is just a little of what Debbie shared with us today. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well here is my update on my challenge to reach Expert Author status on <a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com/">http://www.ezinearticles.com</a> . This is the challenge I made after learning so much from our call with <a href="http://wonderfulwebwomen.com/blog/2007/article-marketing-with-kristi-sayles/">Kristi Sayles</a></p>
<p><strong>I did it. But not the way I thought I would!</strong></p>
<p>I did it! I am now considered an expert writer by <a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com/">www.ezinearticles.com</a>. But I have an admission to make &#8211; things didn&#8217;t go the way they were meant to go.<br />
Let me explain. 31st October and I was yet to submit 10 articles to reach my expert status. How embarrassing. That&#8217;s what happens when you make a public challenge &#8211; you have to do it or be embarrassed. No problem I thought. I will have a big night and submit the next nine articles in one go. They are mostly written anyway, I just have to finish them off and submit. But  there was something I didn&#8217;t count on.</p>
<p><strong>Saved at the 11th Hour</strong><br />
I submitted  my first article a few days before the deadline and the email I received told me it would take a few days before it was approved. When the day of the deadline arrived I still had not received the approval. Oh no, what to do?<br />
But here&#8217;s the good news. At the 11th hour I received an email approving my article and congratulating me on achieving expert author status after only 1 article!</p>
<p> <strong>You be the judge</strong></p>
<p>I have emailed them to ask them why I was approved after only 1 article though when I emailed Kristi to tell her, her response was &#8220;must have been a great article&#8221;. You be the judge. Kristi shared some great information today about how to use articles to position yourself as an expert and drive free traffic to your site. Kristi combines some great talents. She is a passionate writer, but also a teacher to 7 and 8 year olds. Combine that together and you have a person who is excellent at breaking down into easily understood steps, everything you need to know about writing articles and how to use them to market.</p>

<p><strong>5 Must-Do&#8217;s For A Great Article</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>You need a great headline. Make sure you put your main keywords in the first 4 words of the headline</li>
<li>Include a great introduction and make sure you use your keywords here</li>
<li>Use 1 subheading for every point you make</li>
<li>Keep it short (&#8220;brevity is golden&#8221;),
<ul>
<li>250 to 750 words is all you need</li>
<li>use bullet points</li>
<li>use short sentences</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Your resource box is the most important part of the article. You must include a call to action and a link to your site so readers will visit your site and join your mailing list</li>
</ol>
<p>Of course, this is only touching the tip of the iceberg. Kristi also covered the essential points you must have in your resource box, where to submit your articles to get seen high on Google, mistakes you absolutley must not do, when to use links and when never to use links. <p><strong>An Article Challenge</strong></p>
<p>Kristi mentioned that once you have 10 articles accepted to <a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com/">www.ezinearticles.com</a> you are graded as an expert. Following her advice today I don&#8217;t think that will be too hard to do &#8211; you just have to take action. So here&#8217;s my challenge to you. I intend to have 10 articles accepted to ezine articles by the end of the month and be classed as an expert writer. I&#8217;ll let you know on the blog here how I am progressing.</p>
<p>So I challenge you to do the same. 10, 250 word articles on your area of expertise by the end of the month! Go on, I dare you! Let us know how you are going.</p>
