Wonderful Web Women

First Steps To Success Online

August 24th, 2008 . by Janet Beckers

I’m always inspired by people who take action. At the time it may seem like a small step, but it is the first of many that create magnificent things.

Sheila Betker, one of our GOLD members is such a person. I’d like to share her story with you. You can read all of Sheila’s story here as she is one of our members who has taken action and shared her success story as part of our Birthday Competition. She is in the running to receive an MP4 player pre-loaded with every interview I have done in our first year on-line. You can too.

Sheila shares a story of having a business idea, but no experience or direction. In a short time she has created her first product and grown her list through The Wonderful Web Giveaway. She has found a mastermind group to  keep her accountable and found a wonderful mentor through our interviews. I’m so inspired by Sheila’s story. If you are just starting out and feel as if it is all too overwhelming you will really be able to relate to Sheila’s story. She has some great ideas to share and exciting plans. Why not leave a comment for her after you read her story.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing Christine Kloser. Every time someone has contacted me to recommend I interview Christine, they use words like “opened my eyes”, “made me look at my business completely differently” and “life changing”. Now I know why.

We covered many things but today I’d like to share with you Christine’s 5 step freedom formula for the conscious entrepreneur.

    S: Soul in your business:

This is much more than the message you wish to convey through your business. You need to explore the reason you are in business and allow your business to become an extension of who you are.

    C: Connection

Christine talked about 2 important connections you need to make in your business.

The first one Christine admits is “out there” and not what you find in most books about business. Christine emphasized the importance of connecting with your source (you may call it God /  intuition / universal source / whatever works for you). Many times in business you need to take leaps of faith and Christine recommends you need to be connected with your source to be able to know when to trust and follow what feels right.

The other point of connection which many people get wrong is connection with your market. It is important to be truly authentic when communicating with your market. When you are putting soul into your business, yor message needs to be honest and authentic about who you are.

    D:  Design

Your business should support your lifestyle. Christine emphasised the importance of designing a business that when it grows, fits in with the lifestyle you want and is congruent with your values.

    I: Implement your business vision

This is all about action. The thing I like about Christine’s model is it is based on spirituality and personal development, and has a nice mix of logic and practicality thrown in. There is one thing to plan out a strong business, another to actually do it. Christine covers in her book steps to overcome procrastination and actually take action.

    E: Energy

This is the big multiplier. The more energy you can apply to the above 4 principles, the stronger and faster your business will grow. Christine refers to the following formula:

    (S + C+ D + I) x E = Freedom

She referred to the energy you get from your environment. This is not just your physical environment but the support environment you create around you. She gave Wonderful Web Women as an aexample of an environment that will support you when you are creating someting new. A place you can turn to for support and help (thanks Christine).

Christine is launching her book , The Freedom Formula, today through Amazon. If you purchase her book today (I just did) and enter your receipt number on this site, you will get access to 85 gifts from conscious entrepreneurs from around the world. People such as Neale Donald Walsch, Wayne Dyer, Jack Canfield, Marianne Williamson, Ali Brown and of course, Janet Beckers & Wonderful Web Women Gold member authors.

For a limited time (the next 2 days) I have made the replays available to everyone for this interview. I mucked up the link I sent in your email (sorry)  so some people couldn’t listen to the web cast. In 2 days time it will only be available to Gold members of Wonderful Web Women. You can listen to it here:

Thank you so much for your support of The Wonderful Web Giveaway 2008. The event is over now (look forward to next year now) and I have had some wonderful stories from people who used this event to start their very first list. In fact, many people used this event to create their very first product. Good on you for taking action.

Congratulations to the winners of the Contributor contest. Thousands of dollars of prizes, but only 2 people can win. And the winners are……..

REFERRED THE MOST MEMBERS Thanks to Reed Floren who blitzed the field. Thank you from all of us Reed as your effort has helped everyone to grow their own lists from the people you referred.

MOST POPULAR GIFT Congratulations to Tim Sanae with his gift of “777 Background Picture Gallery”. This was a great gift and immediately useful. Interestingly, the second most popular gift, By Scott Drake, was also a graphics package. I recommend you log in (if you are a contributor) and see which gifts were the most popular. There are some surprising topics which is great market research.

REED AND SCOTT WIN 1. Mp3 player pre-loaded with 10 of his favourite interviews from Wonderful Web Women. These are interviews with the most successful women on the Internet and even people with Reed’s and Tim’s experience will learn valuable strategies.

    1. Reed and Tim also win the opportunity to create a product with me. This includes an interview of Reed and Tim by me, MP3, transcripts, cheat sheets, action plans all available on CD with professional artwork. Reed and Tim also get the raw files to cut up and use as they like. Valued at $1200 each.

A SURPRISE RUNNER UP I was so impressed with Margaret Saunders who closely followed on the heels of Reed Floren. Margaret’s niche is nothing to do with Internet Marketing and her business is still quite young. Margaret is an active gold member of Wonderful Web Women and has obviously applied a lot of what she has learnt over the last year. Congrats Margaret. As a reward (and thanks from all of us for referring so many new people to our lists) Margaret also wins the opportunity to create a product with me.

Thank you again for your wonderful support of the giveaway event. Let me know any stories of feedback you have had from new people on your list.
