pamI love a woman of action and Pam Brossman is one. This week Pam contacted me via Twitter to thank me for challenging her thinking. I felt she was branding herself too small and that she had the potential for greater things. So she took in on board and rebranded herself as ‘The Emotive Marketing Queen”.

Pam has been studying with Maria Andros since I interviewed her a few weeks ago and has really learnt heaps about using video online. So she offered to create a video for me.

I LOVE it. Can you check it out and leave a comment to tell Pam how clever she is?

The video captures the essence of the wonderful opportunity I have created to help my members (that’s you) establish themselves as an established author - FAST and cheaper than it costs to take out an add in a magazine.

Now here’s something interesting about using video to share your message. Search on you tube for “motivational movies” . At the time of writing, this movie was no 10 out of 16,500 in just 23 hours. See how long the other movies on the list have been up.

It is also no 11 for “best seller author”, and 20 for “best selling author”. How cool is that?

Wow. I go away for a week with no computers and no phone and I return to find an incredible number of Wonderful Web Action Takers.
In all, 36 wonderful people (or partnerships) created a video for the challenge. Most of these were the very first videos people had created so they really pushed themselves out of their comfort zone. I am so impressed with the quality of the videos and mostly by how genuine each person is.
I really enjoyed this opportunity to get to know more about people in our community. Every one is so different and I think that’s what makes video such a powerful marketing medium.
Even if you have the same target market, YOU are unique and so you appeal to different people and share a different approach.
I’m hooked.

So I encourage you to take the time to view these inspiring videos, leave your comments of encouragement and visit their sites. Simply by the fact that these people take action, you will know that Read more

A few days ago Carrie Wilkerson challenged me to make and upload a video to YouTube. “Just do it Janet”. So, I extended the challenge to YOU.
You can read all about the challenge and view my first video here.
It’s only been a few days and we already have 13 inspiring action takers who have taken up the challenge.
I’ve added their videos here for you to have a look at and hopefully inspire you to take action too.
So what about it? You’ve got until Wednesday morning Aussie time to make the deadline and hold your head high.
Wouldn’t you like to see your name and video listed here, and in my newsletter, and in Carrie’s and in Mr Videos?

A Crazy Week Ahead

In the morning I head off in our heavily laden car, with bikes, canoes, cricket set, soccer ball, swimmers, children, grandmother, cousins,Sister & Douglas The Wonderful Web Man for a family Easter holiday beside a lake. I’m sure you can visualise the craziness.

Video Topic Ideas That Attract Customers Like Bees To Flowers

This week Carrie Wilkerson shared some excellent tips on creating videos that spread your message wide by going viral (contagious like a cold, only good). One of the hard things though is knowing what to create your videos on so that your ideal customers will view the video and think “Ah ha, this is the person I need to do business with”. Here’s some great ideas Carrie shared:

Video Glossary: In every niche there are terms, phrases etc that people need explained. For example in my niche I could explain terms like affiliate marketing, auto-responder, joint venture, passive income.

Create short and sweet videos defining each term and showing how clever you are.

FAQ: Have a look in your “sent” folder of your email program. Look at what questions you keep answering over and over again. Create short videos answering these questions.

A to Z of your niche: Create a series where you discuss a topic in your niche that starts with A, then B, then C etc. The nice part of this is it is sequential and people like to collect all parts

Mastery Series: This is one I just thought up:) Create a series on how to master a particular technique, software etc. For example a series of videos on how to master twitter, cooking a 3 course meal, balancing your budget etc.

Carrie shares heaps more ideas in her free video training.
