OK so I’m hanging out in Phuket Club Med with my family enjoying the prize I won for my award as Australian Marketer of The Year but I have a message to share with you. Firstly, how you can win the chance for an all-expenses paid holiday for 2 in Club Med, Phuket paid for by me. Secondly, I share my concept of “The 4th Win” which is the test I apply to my marketing that won the praise of the judges when they chose me as the winner. This concept has the power to take your business to the next level so you can afford the money (and time) to fly to Phuket yourself. Love to know what you think.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing 2 of my favourite people on-line, best selling relationship authors and husband and wife psychology team Judith & Jim (Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski). Judith and Jim are leading what I see as a new frontier in Internet marketing and one that I feel passionately you need to be part of.

Judith and Jim lead the way for “soft sell marketers” to market their businesses in a way that lets people know about what you do without feeling like you have to compromise or even sell out to marketing methods that go against your grain. In this article I will cover what soft sell marketing is and who actually fits into the soft sell category of businesses but first let me tell you about an opportunity to learn more and to meet up with Judith, Jim and myself in person.

Bridging Heart and Marketing

Judith and Jim are organisers of “Bridging Heart and Marketing II” – the only conference for Soft Sell Internet marketers. It takes place September 12-14 in Los Angeles. I’m honoured to be one of their featured speakers amongst an incredibly inspiring group of people. Judith and Jim have stressed the importance that this event is not a “talk fest” and that there are very real opportunites to workshop ideas and create long term relationships that will make a huge difference to the growth of your business.

Because I’m a speaker at the conference I get to offer you a SPECIAL DISCOUNT on your tuition. To find out what you’ll experience, go to: http://www.bridgingheartandmarketing.com/janet

And if “Bridging Heart and Marketing II” feels right for you – follow your heart and be there with us.

Join me for breakfast

As an extra bonus if you order through this special discount link you can join me for breakfast one morning of the event for a special Question and Answer session. We’ll book a table at breakfast just for our group and you will get the opportunity to get answers from me to your personal questions as well as the opportunity to discuss product ideas and joint ventures.

Stay an extra day

I really do hope you can can join us. I also hope you can stay for an extra day for the opportunity to spend a whole day learning the details on how to grow a business fast, and bring in extra income to your home every month, with the help of experts and the power of your voice. You can find out more about our Quick Start Event here.

Listen to the replay

I had quite a few people contact me to say they were disappointed to miss the interview as they didn’t receive the notice emails. Apparently we had a problem with a lot of our emails this week ending up in spam folders. AHHH!!! So, for a few days only you can listen to the recordings of the interview, before they are added to the gold members only area of Wonderful Web Women. Here is part of a message I received from one of the listeners on the call “Bravo for last night’s interview with Judith and Jim … having the energy of the three of you in one space was not only an elegant event, a moving one, as well.” I’d love to hear your ideas after you listen to the call.

Again, this is where you can listen to the interview

This is where you can register for the conference and receive my special discount

Here is where you can register for the one-day event with me either in LA after the conference, or in Sydney a few weeks before.

Cheers

Janet

Today I interviewed Pat Lynch from Women’s Radio about “Speaking Up and getting your voice heard”. Pat has an incredibly inspiring story of perseverance which I hope will inspire many to stick with your vision, even against the odds. Pat owns Women’s Radio, a large network which features a collective of web hosts who run radio programs on topics targeted at women. These topics are not just on women’s issues but are targeted at women. For example there are radio programs on business, health, travel, music – you name it, it is there or will be.

In this article I share with you strategies to get your voice heard, using both Pat’s website (www.womensradio.com) and Pat’s techniques and your own web site.

How to Spread the word about your expertise through Women’s Radio

The mission of Women’s Radio is to give women a greater voice over a wider geographic area. The influence of this program reaches hundreds of thousands of women. Women’s radio can help grow your business (or your political campaign or social interest group) in the following way:

1. Apply to host a radio program through Women’s Radio. To apply, visit http://www.womensradio.com/Pages/Contact.htm and tell Pat that you heard her on Wonderful Web Women and would like info on how to be a host. Tell her a bit about yourself as well.

2. Be a featured guest on one of the programs. Again, contact Pat through http://www.womensradio.com/Pages/Contact.htm and tell her a bit about your expertise.

3. Contribute articles : You can submit articles as a guest author

How To Host Your Own Program

When Pat moved her radio station from traditional radio to internet radio, she had a wish list of what technology she wanted to make it possible. It wasn’t available at the time so she and her partner, David, contracted a team to develop it for them. The result? Audio Acrobat. I’ve noticed this used on many sites, especially those of successful marketers.

These are just a few of the things you can do with Audio Acrobat:

record your voice and put it as an intro on your website

record an interview

record segments for a radio program or teleseminar (eg intros, interviews, adds, music transitions) and then select what order you want each played in and when to play

create podcasts with just 2 clicks (submits to 16 different podcast directories)

quickly put audio on your website or blog without having to be a techy (just cut and paste)

You can also do all the same things with video

Using this technology you can really simply have recordings of your interviews and ideas on your own website. You can even create a site that has guest hosts who all contribute their recordings to your “radio site” and create your own radio hub for your own niche.

But let’s keep it simple.

Sign up for Audio Acrobat for their free 1 month trial. Create a short audio introduction to your website by ringing in on the number they provide. Then cut and paste the recording to your website. That’s what I will be doing this week as I spend the next month “testing it out”. I’d love to hear your experiences. Here’s one that was shared on the call by Richard from California
“LoL, I can not say enough great things about Audio Acrobat ! What a great tool! I use it with overt 90% of my clients ! TalkToMeGuy Productions”

Cheers

Janet

This is absolutely essential as you must create videos on a topic (and current trends) that your ideal client wants to see. If you are not clear on this your uncertainty and lack of focus will show in your video.

2. Be clear on your expertise

You will be using video to position yourself as an expert. You want to position yourself as the go-to person for commentary on a topic, area of expertise. This is where the opportunities for free publicity come. Be clear in your videos, and with yourself, what is your area of expertise.

3. Present your unique essence and personality

Don’t try and be someone else that you think is the ideal video personality. Find your own voice. Nancy has a lovely way of explaining this. She believes that each of us has a purpose, a message to share. She calls this your “medicine”, a term which originates from her Aztec ancestors. Take time to be clear on what is your unique message. This moves the focus from you to the viewer. This is how you portray your authentic presentation.

What type of videos to make

This is clever. Once you are clear on the points above you need to create a series of short videos Each video should be no longer that 2 minutes and you need to create a series of at least 5. These short videos teach people tips on your area of expertise. If it is topical, that is better.

For example, Nancy first created 5 short videos teaching people how to use Facebook to create business relationships. You can see them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/vivavisibility

You may create them all in one sitting but release them slowly over a few weeks to build anticipation.

How to make your video

Nancy stresses “keeping it simple”.

Don’t use a webcam (see why in the recordings of the call)

Flip cameras are newly released and create a video ready to upload to the internet

Edit the video to add text, music etc using free software that comes with your computer like Windows Movie maker

JUST DO IT!

IMPORTANT: The setting, lighting and what you wear are extremely important. Nancy gives great tips on this in our interview. You can hear the replay in the gold members area of Wonderful Web Women.

Where to submit your videos

There are heaps of places, just Google “online video sharing”

Start with:

You Tube

Blip TV

Veoh

Make sure you grab a copy of Nancy’s free report . It covers the 5 main mistakes women entrepreneurs make with online video and it is excellent.

Here are they are below.

http://www.redhotcopy.com/sterling.htm

http://www.infoproductguy.com/home.html

Here are some extra words of wisdom from Lorrie
Remember, even though these are long copy sales letters, the formatting, the bullets and the headlines/subheads are designed to make the copy scannable and easy-to-read for busy women AND busy men. Yes, women despite our equality, it seems much of the household duties still far to us and our time seems even less than men’s.

But the psychology of having all the answers, facts, and information on one scrolling page is still a proven copywriting device. Imagine how frustrating it would be to NOT get all the information you wanted about making a purchasing decision in one place and have to poke around many other sites to find it. It actually saves time to have it all in one place from one source. Then we can Google other sources to make our comparisons.

Thanks heaps Lorrie

Remember, you can get Lorrie’s free report and her special offer for her upcoming conference to help you create a business that is positioned to make the most of the female buyer here: http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/redhotcopy

P.S. Here is a link to Lorrie’s many products to help you master copywriting. This is really the no. 1 skill you need to master to create success in your internet business.

On Friday I launched Recession Proof Marketing with 4 wonderful women. We’re known collectively as “TheFab 5″.

We launched with a sold out workshop at Erina, NSW. The day was a great success with very moving testimonials from attendees, great content (REAL content), excellent food and perfectly managed presentations – except for mine…..

Picture this. My first seminar presentation in my role as Wonderful Web Woman. I had prepared a great presenation and put a lot of thought into how to really get the attention of the room. How to get them centred, enthusiastic and ready to learn. 10 minutes into the presentation, just as I was about to reveal the big secret to the quick growth of my business I looked around the room and thought “Wow, it’s working. I have the complete attention of everyone in the room, they’re actually listening to me and want to know what I have to say”.

And then it happened.

The fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building! AHHH!!!

Has anything like this ever happened to you? I’d love to hear your stories and even better, how you recovered!

Cheers

Janet

Today I interviewed one of my favourite Internet marketers, Lorrie Morgan – Ferrero. Lorrie has a wonderful ability to write sales letters, emails, blog posts etc that I can really relate to. I feel as if she is writing to me. She has an ability to catch the female voice but not in the way that some marketers try. Her language is not girly, or wishy-washy. It is strong, intelligent and makes me feel as though she takes me seriously.

Isn’t that different to many of the sales letters we read on the Internet? Over the next few days, on the blog here, I will share with you some of the facts about the changes taking place in marketing, driven by the increasing power women have as consumers. But here it is in brief. Women make far the majority of buying decisionsnow, even for goods traditionally targeted to men. 80% in fact!

Here is Lorrie’s recipe for adapting your sales letters to appeal to the female buyer:

The important thing to know is that the way sales letters are traditionally written works. We do not have to rewrite the guide book. For example, you still need to have a great headline and a good offer. You still need to state the problem, show you understand it and then offer a solution (you). And like it or not, long sales letters work better than short IF you follow the steps below. The current techniques are based on sound psychology but they were invented in the 1920″s when women were not the buyers. Here’s how to get it up to date:

1. Appeal to both sides of the brain:

Men tend to think in a linear way and make decisions faster. Women tend to use both sides of the brain equally and take many factors into consideration. We tend to want more information before we make a buying decision. We take longer to win over as a customer but when won, we tend to be very loyal. Of course, these are exceptions to the rule but these differences between the way men and women think hold true.

So the lesson here? Give women the facts. Provide info in a variety of ways (dot points, audio, stories, information boxes, video). We need enough information to make an informed decision rather than hype. Can you you see now, why long sales letters are necessary?

2. Use metaphors:

Women use both sides of the brain and think in terms of stories and relationships. So use a lot of metaphors in your sales copy. Tell stories.

3. Use graphics:

Boring pages where just the words sell have become the accepted best-practice recently. The thought is that nothing should distract from the words. This does not work for women. It is important to reinforce your message with great graphics.

4. Be authentic:

If you are yourself and honest, women will be loyal customers. If you are not authentic and try to make it, women will sniff it out quickly and you’ll never see them again. So lose the hype, empty promises and trying to copy the voice of others. Be yourself.

5. Write to a very specific person

Lorrie mentioned the concept of a TARKET. She recommends you research your target customers well and then create a very detailed profile of one person. So, you give them a name, age, occupation, interests, marital status, income etc. When you listen to the recording you’ll hear Lorrie describe her tarket. Talk about detailed! This is the person you are writing to in everything you do. This will make your writing so much more genuine and authentic.

6. Don’t use male language

Don’t use words such as win, compete, destroy, dominate, bullet-proof etc. Women do not respond to competitive language and the language of conflict. Use inclusive, relationship building words.

7. If you contribute to the world, let them know

If you make the world a better place either through the way you do business, your product or by contributing, let women know. Studies have shown that women place priority on community and social issues. But remember, if you don’t or you just do token contributions, don’t claim you do something you don’t. You’ll lose loyalty quickly.

You know what I like about this approach to copywriting? It is high in integrity and treats the customer with respect. That is probably why using these techniques increases your success with the female buyer, but doesn’t turn men off. Over the next few days I’ll also share a few other tips Lorrie shared. You can also grab 2 great opportunties thanks to Lorrie.

Firstly, go to http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/redhotcopy and download the free report “Are You Still Living In the Marketing Dark Ages?”. Lorrie shares even more great ideas there.

After you sign up for the report, you’ll be given access to a special offer page that is only valid for 2 more days. Lorrie is holding a first ever 3 day event in October where she takes you step by step through tailoring your ENTIRE business to make the most of the female market. Today we only covered some of the copywriting skills. Lorrie has extended an offer for a wonderful discount to the event that she has not even made available to her own list (this is true. I’m on her list and haven’t seen this offer). She has also included excellent bonuses of software and tools that will quick start your copywriting. Here’s the link again.

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/redhotcopy

I’d love to hear your thoughts on copywriting and the female market. Why not share them here?

Cheers

Hi

Last week I shared with you an activity that I did with my family to celebrate all we had achieved in 2007. I loved this activity so much that we called our creation a “celebration board” and encouraged you to do the same? Have you had an opportunity to stop yet and really take the time to acknowledge all you have achieved?

If you need a refresher on how to create your own celebration board, you can read all about it here:

http://wonderfulwebwomen.com/blog/2007/what-have-you-got-to-celebrate/

We have had some lovely discussions in the forum, and others have sent me emails. I can see that this activity has really been a positive step for a lot of people. I took some photos of the “celebration board” my family created to share with you. As you can see in the photo below, the result is colourful and busy. Come to think of it, so is my family that created it!

Groover Gran and Setting Goals For 2008

I have spent the last week or so visiting family for Christmas and spent a lot of that time staying with my mum Bev (I always seem to sleep a lot when I stay with my mum. Do you do the same thing?). Mum is 73 years old and a wonderful inspiration who always seems to look for new and exciting ways to push herself out of her comfort zone.

This Christmas she decided to relearn how to ride a bike. It would have been 40 years I think since she really rode a bike but she was determined. So myself, Douglas, the 2 kids on their new Christmas bikes and “Groover Gran” headed down to the cycle track near the lake to give it a go. The first few goes were a bit scarey (for me!) but then for the next hour she powered along the track, even cutting across the grass when the walkers were too slow.

What Is Your Comfort Zone?

I share this story with you because it demonstrates the most important thing I want to pass on to you about setting goals for 2008. You need to push yourself out of your comfort zone. I’m not suggesting you be unrealistic (after all Bev didn’t set herself a goal to ride the Tour de France), but I do encourage you to set yourself a goal that will require you to learn or master a new skill. The confidence you get just by working towards that goal will flow on to other things in your life.

Create A 2008 Goal Board

The activity I share with you today flows on from the “Celebration Board” from last week. It is important to take the time to acknowledge and celebrate what you achieved in the last 12 months as it really gives you the confidence to set positive goals for the next 12 months.

Use another piece of art paper and a supply of coloured pencils and imagination. The board you will be working on should not be as busy as your celebration board – life will fill in all the extra achievements without you needing to plan in detail.

Draw a picture of the main thing that you are working for, or glue in a picture if you have one. For me, I drew my dream home. Around this focus, write 3 or 4 specific goals that push you out of your comfort zone but are realistic. You can see the goals I set myself in the picture below. Some of them really push me out of my comfort zone but I know I can do them if I stay focused. Even if I don’t achieve them this year, simply acknowledging them and focusing on them will bring me closer to the confidence to do them.

All Work And No Play?

Also look at other parts of your life – not just business/financial / work. If you can see in the photo below, one of my goals is to look good in a bikini! But I have also included goals around travel, music and sport. You don’t want life to be boring even if you do love your work like I do.

Here’s what my finished board looks like. I will hang this near where I work to remind myself of the direction I am heading – this should stop me being distracted with “busy work” and focus on the main game plan. I do encourage you to do the same as it is a very powerful visual motivator.

Make Yourself Accountable

Here’s the tough part. It can be challenging to set yourself goals that push you out of your comfort zone – but even tougher to tell someone else and make yourself accountable. That is why I have shared my goals and achievements with you (and thousands of others who will be reading this!). Does being so open with my dreams make me nervous? ABSOLUTELY! But you know what – I’m determined to do them now because I expect you to hold me accountable.

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff

You’ll notice that I have not been super specific on when, during the year, the goals will be achieved. I have made this mistake before and felt like an absolute failure when I didn’t achieve the exact thing by the exact date. But you know what? When I lightened up – I actually got to where I wanted to go, in the right time – but not in the linear fashion I had planned.

Now It’s Your Turn

I’d love to hear your dreams for 2008. There is a place where you can share your goals and make yourself accountable and feel safe around other entrepreneurial women (and enlightened men). Simply visit your forum at http://www.WonderfulWebForum.com and leave your comments in the Balancing Life and Business section. If you haven’t joined the forum yet simply click on the register link at the top. This is separate to Wonderful Web Women so you can use any username and password you like to join (it’s free).

See you there

I was talking to Mike Filsaime on the phone this week about his new service Marketing Product Review. He revealed that Wonderful Web Women is the highest ranking product they have featured in this new service, and also the product with the largest number of votes and comments. This service allows the general public to review new products and we have no control over what is said. Comments can be negative or positive and the votes can be low or high.

At last count we had 67 comments and over 40 votes – way more than any other product featured. We have a ranking of 9.4 out of 10 and not a single negative comment. Thank you to all who voted and left your honest feed back. What a great community we have.

Mike suggested I copy the comments and leave them on our blog, so here they are:

Often people feel that they are somehow ‘lacking’ and get disheartened if they haven’t made $1,474,077 within 27 hours of starting their internet marketing journey. Join Janet’s site for inspiration, motivation, and a look at the ‘real’ potential of internet marketing. The potential is definitely there, but it’s just like a seed that needs nurturing. It’s not going to blossom overnight! Janet is passionate about what she does and gives honest, from-the-heart advice. As many above have said: this is a no-hype zone and all the better for it.

Hi

I’m always amazed at how much our guest speakers share and Tracy Repchuck gave amazing value today on our call. Tracy asked for me to allow 90 minutes for our interview and I can see why. She shared more about internet business building strategies that you get on many paid courses and she gave an incredibly generous offer to help selected members to get their web business up and running and ready to succeed in just 10 weeks.

You can see Tracy’s offer by clicking on the following link:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/tracy1

Tracy has offered a huge discount and $23,000 worth of bonuses just for Wonderful Web Women. The discount is only valid for the next 2 days. As we saw on our call today, Tracy is definitely a woman of action and she challenges you to be too.

Here are the 7 steps that Tracy guides her coaching students through. They are the 7 steps that she has identified as essential to building any sustainable internet empire:

Step 1. Identify Your Niche

This is such an obvious step but one that many people rush through or think they have worked out – but for the wrong reasons.

Tracy stressed the importance of really finding out what gets you excited because you will need this passion to keep you motivated to build your business. Contrary to the hype you hear all the time, there is actually a lot of work in setting up a successful internet business so you need to make sure you have chosen a niche you love, rather than one that you think will make money. Late at night you need more motivation than the prospect of making money (believe it or not!).

Step 2. Use a Web Site Model That Will Make You Money

There are so many different ways you can approach creat6ing a web site. Tracy teaches a combination of:

Landing Page

Sales Page

Blog

I have to agree with Tracy here as in most product launches I have been involved in, this combination has worked best.

Step 3. Set Up Autoresponders

This is the essential step for automating the relationship you build with your prospects and customers. Tracy shared the frequency of emails that she has found to be best as well as the different programs you can use. She recommends only sending emails that you have written from the heart and that are in your own unique voice.

Step 4. Create Products Quickly

Once you have a system for collecting email adresses you need to have a free product you can offer them to entice them to subscribe to your list. Tracy helps her students to create all of these. Tracy recommended a few sources to use to create products but here are some ideas to get you started:

Interview someone (or have them interview you) and record the interview.

Look for copy right free books to use as your own

Compile a free ebook from articles from other authors they have submitted to ezine directories.

Step 5. Get Traffic To Your Site

This is a huge topic and Tracy has a list of all the different ways you can get traffic to your site. She concentrates on methods that she knows work. Here are the main ones:

PayPer Click

Search Engine Optimisation

Article Submission

Press releases (she shared her 2 prong approach on the call)

Comment on Blogs

Talk Radio

Of course this is just a summary. On the call (the recording is already available to listen to) she shared the best ways to get traffic using these methids and shared some great web sites.

Step 6. Joint Ventures

Tracy managed to get her first book to Amazon best seller status using the power of joint ventures. She gave some great advice on how to build your business quickly through joint Ventures. She has a free report to share with you on the 7 steps to successful JVs including JV etiquette. You can get it here:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/tracy1

Step 7. Maximise Your Marketing Funnel

This is the step that makes the difference between a $100,000 internet business and a $1,000,000 internet business. Tracy talked about creating a funnel that is 9 miles deep rather than 9 miles wide. She shared a few of the techniques you can use to do this though of course goes into a lot more detail in her coaching course.

Tip Of The Iceberg

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Tracy covered today. Instant Teleseminar Web Cast software caused problems again with our webcast and try as I did, it wouldn’t reconnect. Sorry to those on the call who missed out the second part of the webcast. I don’t want you to miss out on this opportunity to learn from Tracy as it was an amazing info-packed call.

So I have made the recording available to free and gold members in the free audios section of the web site for 1 week only. Then it will be moved to the Gold Member area. The call is quite long and also includes an excellent question and answer session at the end.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on what Tracy covered today. Why not leave your comments on the blog?

Cheers

Janet

I am truly inspired by today’s call with Judith Shevern. And I’m not alone.

Judith’s call today on a new approach to internet marketing that shows true respect for visitors to your website inspired so many comments, stories and offers of gifts from members to members that I have spent all afternoon writing so I can share this with you. This is definitely a topic that so many of our members can relate to.

As usual, I have written an article that outlines many of the points our speaker covered, to benefit those of you who could not be on the call. Gold member’s of course can listen to the replay within a few hours and I recommend you listen to the interview as well as the mastermind call which was incredibly valuable. But first, let me tell you what a buzz Judith’s call created:

So Many Stories to Share

I received so many stories from members that I could not possibly share them all during the interview. So I have pasted many of the comments on the blog.
Here is one such comment from Linda in Sydney:

Judith, A wonderful talk and very uplifting. Just because the internet is technical doesnt mean it cant have heart. It is after all just a medium of communicatication and that is what brings us all together. It is such a powrful medium for sharing and reaching out.

Judith’s Amazing Offer

Judith and her husband Jim will be holding a world – first conference in February called “Bridging Heart and Marketing”. It has not been publicised yet and is already being booked so we are among the first to know. I asked Judith to put together a special offer for our members, especially for our members who can’t make it to the US in February. Boy, did she rise to the challenge!

Judith has made an offer that is only available for Wonderful Web Women that is valued at close to $5000. There are so many valuable products she has thrown in that are essential for anyone who is serious about creating an impact on the internet – and doing it with integrity. I couldn’t possibly list them all here so I have created a blog post with all the details, including how to find a buddy to share the cost with you and how to benefit from your tickets even if you can’t be there.

Here are the details:

http://wonderfulwebwomen.com/blog/2007/5000-value-bonuses-just-for-wonderful-web-women/

And here is the link so you can register for your bonuses:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith2

Inspired from our call today – win a (virtual) trip to Costa Rica

One of our members was so inspired by our call today that she was motivated to share a gift with one of our Wonderful Web Women. Ann Oliveri heads off to Costa Rica this week to participate in a retreat / conference for spiritual entrepreneurship. This conference has an amazing line up of speakers and will be streamed live via video on the weekend.

Ann has offered the gift of access to the streaming video and 16 hours of archives – valued at $297.

But there’s a catch. There is only one gift and many members. Over the next 24 hours we ask you to share with us on the blog at http://wonderfulwebwomen.com/blog/2007/win-a-virtual-trip-to-costa-rica/

“How you would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet”.

One of the entries will win this gift but you have to take action and leave your comments there today.

Article: Soft Sell Internet Marketing and How to Apply it to your business

In our call today Judith Shevern introduced us to the concept of Soft Sell marketing. This approach developed as a rejection of traditional hard sell sales letters that we see so much on the internet.

Judith and her husband Jim come from a background of clinical psychology so the idea of a hard sell was totally against their ethics and so unsuitable to their target market. So they set about developing their own techniques of selling and wrote their own rules. Their style was so successful that internet legend Alex Mandossian started keeping a swipe file of their copywriting. It was that good. Now Judith and Jim share their passion and techniques through teaching others.

Here are a few tips from Judith today on how to be an effective sift seller>

Work on your own mind set first

Especially if you come from a caring profession, you will find the idea of selling unethical and in opposition to your ideal of helping your customers. This was a barrier Judith had to overcome.

Judith stressed the importance of seeing selling as a spiritual service. If you offer a service or product that improves people’s lives and you hold back from offering products or services to help them further, and explain what it is you are offering, you are actually doing a dis-service.

This is an important concept to get you head around and Judith has included a product to help you do this as part of her bonus at http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith2

3 steps to take when you review your sales copy

Here are the first 3 stages you need to look at when you review your sales copy on your web site:

1. What does your customer want? Look at the number of times you say “I” compared to the number of times you say “You”. Your copy should be written so ot states respectfully What In It For Me. You can also use the words “we” to create a feeling of companionship, especially if it does involve interaction.

2. Be clear in your offering

You really need to be very clear about exactly what you are offering. Often if we have many services to offer it is tempting to put them all on the one sales letter. Your customer should know straight away if what you are offering is what they want.

3. Be clear on the benefits

Be very clear about what value you are giving your customer so they can make a decision. Often it will take many email contacts to develop a relationship with your customers.

The tip of the iceberg

I can’t possibly do justice to what Judith covered today but I hope this gives you some food for thought. We cover so much more in our hour long interview and also the extra hour that Judith spent with us answering questions of members. The recording of the interviews will be available very soon in the GOLD member’s area of the web site and I suggest you listen to this call many times like 2 of our members have already emailed me to tell me they intend to do.

You can sign up for more info from Judith at http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith2

I’d love to hear your comments.

Cheers

Janet

What a great group of members we have. On our mastermind call today one of our members Ann Oliveri made a very generous offer. Ann is heading off to Costa Rica in a few days for an amazing conference for spiritual entrepreneurs. Ann has been to this conference in the past and credits it with changing her life. The conference will also be streamed live via video link and you need to purchase this for $297 – but one lucky person will receive this free as a gift from Ann. Even better, all of the videos will be archived so you can watch them at your leisure.

Why is Ann doing this?

Let me share Ann’s message with you:

I am so inspired by Judith and yourself being the givers that you are. This has been the best call yet and fits perfectly with my philosophy as a Spiritual Entrepreneur.

I truly believe:

”It is your willingness to be always contributory in the lives of others that will bring the greatest abundance into your life. So share who you are with others and they will be attracted to your energy and your willingness to share with them and in turn they will enrich your own life in immeasurable ways.”

And that’s why I’ve been inspired…by you and Judith today. My life is blessed in so many ways. Tomorrow I fly out to a retreat for Spiritual Entrepreneurs in Costa Rica and I want to share it with you. There are so many wonderful

speakers there…my friends and mentors all.

To share it I would like to offer a LIVE stream from Costa Rica for one of the members of Wonderful Web Women. I have had a chance to think it through a bit and wonder if this wouldwork…

Could the Wonderful Web Women share on your blog, “How they would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet” (or something like that, inspired by today’s call) and in 24 hours one person who responds will be gifted with a LIVE stream compliments of you and I.

Wonderful Web Women who would like to check it out can go to

www.MagneticSeminars.com

The reason we can only offer for 24 hours is because it starts on Sunday our time (by the way you get all 16 hours in archive so you can view it in your own time).

It is my pleasure to give especially to you Janet

How will you make a difference?

This is such a generous offer and thank you so much to Ann. So go on, share with us “How you would like to make a contribution to the lives of others through the Internet”.

Leave your thoughts here on the blog and Ann and I will let you all know tomorrow.

Cheers

Janet

On our call today Judith Severn made an incredible offer. Judith and her husband Jim Sniechowski are launching a first of a kind conference called “Bridging Heart and Marketing” in February 2008 in Los Angeles. The line up is incredible and the reason it is so unique is because every speaker focuses on how to build relationships with your customers on-line without the hype and hard sell that is traditional on the internet.

I’m aware that many of our members cannot get to the US easily so I asked Judith to offer all our members something that provides great value even if you can’t get to the conference. Wow did she rise to the challenge. I’ll give you all the details below but in brief she has added close to $5000 worth of products (and extremely practical products at that) which are only available to Wonderful Web Women. You will not see this offer on the sales page or any where else. Only here.

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith1

What if you can’t get to the US in February?

So that’s nearly $5000 of product for an investment of $997! And if you can’t get to the conference – here’s a tip that I have used in the past. Many vendors such as web designers, copywriters etc would love to go to this conference but I know the tickets will sell out fast. If you know you just can’t get there yourself but still want the bonuses – barter. In exchange for the ticket you can’t use, barter for services that you would otherwise have to pay for. You win both ways and so does your vendor.

Find a buddy

Judith also has a great deal for people who want to purchase 2 tickets which brings your cost per ticket down to the ridiculous. If you would like to find a buddy to split with, visit the forum at www.wonderfulwebforum.com and leave a message. But don’t take too long as Judith hasn’t publicised the conference yet. When she does the tickets will go fast.

Here’s where you register for a ticket:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith1

Judith’s Wonderful Offer

This is what you receive when you register for the “Bridging Heart and Marketing” conference using the following link (so Judith and Jim know you are a Wonderful Web Woman):

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith1

$1200 Bonus of 12 hours of recorded pre-conference interviews with our speakers

$1800 Bonus Gifts of Internet Marketing programs from each of our speakers
****AND - only for Wonderful Web Women ******

$1197 our Soft Sell Copywriting Secrets course -
nearly 30 hours of practical, can-do copywriting guidance in audio and transcript formats.
We will launch this course at our conference for at least $1197 and probably more.

$597 First Step Internet Marketing course -
the only course for the entry level Internet marketer -
14 hours plus many hours of bonuses specific to Internet marketing like the Creation and Use of Autoresponders
and How to Get the Best Testimonials

$127 4-part program on Breaking Through Resistance
which includes Overcoming Negative Head Talk – in order
to be fully available for big time success

Total: $4921

Here is where you register:

http://www.wonderfulwebwomen.com/recommends/judith1

I’m looking forward to hearing some amazing stories not only of what you learn, but also of the relationships and joint ventures you form simply by being there.

Cheers

Janet

What an amazing response we had today on our call with Judith Shevern on soft sell marketing. I received so many wonderful messages through the webcast page today that I would really like to share with you as I am sure you will relate to them. Judith really struck a nerve with her message and the first of a kind conference she and her husband Jim are holding next February is bound to sell out as they are really filling a huge gap in the approach to Internet Marketing.

In the next 2 posts I will share the gob-smacking offer Judith has extended to Wonderful Web Women and also some key points from our call today. But first, let me share some stories.

What Wonderful Web Women Members Say

Judith and Janet, spot on!! It is time for us women to take our place on the internet. Women are over 50% of the popualtion and yet most of the internet marketing stuff is very male. So lets have gratitude for the men who have so generoulsly shared and given away a lot of their technical and marketing knowledge but they are not women and so now is our time to take our place there and be the powerful force that we are but in our own way with our own style. Janet let me take this opportunity to say that I think you are amazing and you are a trail blazer in bringing together women who are interested in being part of the internet revolution. Thank you. linda from sydney

Thank you both, Janet and Judith! You’ve both done it again. …. You’re being everything you believe in — in your gracious gestures through your personal correspondence reflects the integrity of whom you are. …Enjoying every email, and every teleconference you’ve given, it’s time my expression of gratitude came through to share what it’s meant to hear this, today, from both of you … you are both such a breath of fresh air. You both truly know what is needed and wanted by so many. Your approach, your “take on business” — Judith and Janet, has made me determined to contribute to all you’re doing to reach and make the difference. How best can I serve you, in an affiliate assocation and/or strategic alliance? You’re making a moment for me will be appreciated. You’re both amazing! My focus for over 26 years in my business mirrors your own own very unique “take” on the “spiritual sell” addressing those very important needs of women, especially. It’s uncanny how you both — in the teleseminars both of you’ve been doing, have prioritized those philosophies of “caring” and respect in relationships with those clientele. It will be you, Judith, and you, also, Janet, where all my clientele will be directed, as my “niche” is those most successful professionals who truly have so much to contribute to the world. . Thank you, again, Janet and Judith … you’re so needed by all my clientele! Let’s reciprocally benefit with our helping women, and men in their circles, worldwide! You represent our gender so well! Respectfully, Zna www.fastestfatburn.com

A wonderful talk Judith – absolutely inspiring. There is room for all sorts of ways of communicating – after all the net is simply a communication network and communication is the word not to forget.

Judith, A wonderful talk and very uplifting. Just because the internet is technical doesnt mean it cant have heart. It is after all just a medium of communicatication and that is what brings us all together. It is such a powrful medium for sharing and reaching out. Linda
