Become A Published Author With Our Help

Hi,

I’m Janet Beckers from Wonderful Web Women, in March 2011 Wonderful Web Women will release our 4th Gold Members’ Publication.

The previous 3 publications have been downloaded thousands of times and shared through out the Internet. Each time it is shared, the contributing authors reach potential customers they would never have previously reached.

A Topic All Gold Members Can Contribute To

This year our publication is very special. This is because it will be released in an international campaign to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of International Women’s Day (8th March 2011).

In acknowledgement of the incredible vision and persistence women have shown to keep International Women’s Day alive this collaborative ebook will share stories by women around the world on how they stay focused and following their dreams on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. After all, when creating a business (as most of our gold members are either doing now or aspiring to) it takes incredible skill to stay focused and keep your dream alive.

The tentative title of the book is:

“100 International Women Share 100 Inspiring Stories on How To Keep Your Dreams Alive in Celebration of 100 Years of International Women’s Day” (we’ll work on the title together to make it snappier)

Possible Topics You Can Write On.

  • You do not need to be a motivational guru. In fact, the more “real” you are the better the book will be. The idea is to share a bit of your story. You may want to talk about what challenges you in staying focused and how you overcome it.
  • Think about tips and tricks you have to keep yourself focused and motivated. Here are some things to think about:
    • What do you do of a morning to get focused?
    • What do you so when you have feelings of doubt?
    • Do you have a way of keeping your big vision alive?
    • How to you get organised?
    • How do you get buy-in to your dreams from people in your life?
    • What IS your dream? (this will help people know if they want to be part of your dream and become a subscriber or customer of yours)

Really anything that will tie in with your business and that will give people ideas on things they can do this year to create change and keep their dream alive.

  • The book will be published March 8th 2011 which is the 100th International Women’s Day. so the topics will be focused on how to apply these ideas to create a great year.
  • Each chapter will have a section for notes. There will be an emphasis on taking action with an Action Box at the end of each chapter with 3 things you can do to apply what you have learnt.

Benefits Of Contributing

  • Instant credibility
  • Generate leads to your web site
  • Contribute to the success of other women throughout the world
  • Raise your profile with people you would never have reached before by leveraging off the contact lists of every other member
  • This may well be your first product – a reason to congratulate yourself and apply the skills you learnt to a solo product!

How you can use this book

  • Give it away as a gift to your customers
  • Use it as a gift when people sign up for your mailing list on your web site

You can download the 2008 and 2009 Gold Books here. The layout will be different this year because we have a different topic, but you will get an idea of the style of book and quality of writing expected.

You will need to fill in your email address to get a copy of the book but not to worry, you won’t be added to a mailing list other than the wonderful Web News list, which you are probably on anyway. (and of course you can unsubscribe anytime if you are crazy!)

You can also download these books if you are a free or gold member of Wonderful Web Women. Just log into the members area and look for the link to bonuses.

Other Ways To Contribute

Not every one is confident to write an article though there are other ways you can contribute. Each of the following roles is voluntary and you will be acknowledged with your profile and business description in a special section at the front of the book..

Layout and quality control

The articles will need to be pasted into the book and formatted to look great. This will also involve checking for typos and making sure the publication is consistent. This is a great way for type setters and virtual assistants to contribute to the book. You will be acknowledged and your profile included in the book. This will probably be a few hours work in February.

Editor

There is a place for a person who can read through each article and make suggestions on improvement. There is no need to rewrite articles, simply check to make sure it makes sense and adds value to the reader. Every gold member will be given the opportunity to contribute so if they need extra help, this is where you come in (last year every author did a brilliant job and editing was minimal). It is useful to have a few editors as this is the most time-consuming of volunteer jobs – simply because you need to read each article and there can be a few of them! Our team will also be editing. This could be a few days work (at times that suit you) spread throughout late January and February.

Mind Movie

It would be great to create a mind movie to use on Youtube which promotes the book. You can put your name and web site in the credits at the end of the movie. Perfect for someone who provides this service through their business so they can use the movie to create leads. This would be produced in February.

Deadlines:

Submissions: 7th February 2011 – submit EOI here

Launch: 8th March 2011

Looking forward to a great publication.

Janet Beckers.
